Tracey Martin - Owner, Riding Instructor & Judge
Tracey was born in Northern England and began formal riding lessons at the age of 3. In 1977 she moved to the USA with her family and continued riding mostly jumpers. She was a student of a former US Olympic gold medalist.
Tracey has won many show high points and year-end awards. She has shown in California, Canada and Idaho in both English and Western and in her youth she competed in several queen contests. She has been a horse show judge for 12 years and has judges all over California and also in Alaska. Tracey judges all hunt seat English events and has judged some Dressage. She judges most Western events as well and was a 4-H horse leader.
As a police officers for the City of Stockton, California, she helped develop and start the city's first mounted unit. Tracey is a riding instructor and gives lessons during the warmer months. In her spare time, Tracey is an investigator for the Idaho Spirit Seekers.
Tom Martin - Owner
Tom was born in Ohio and raised in Texas and California. He served overseas in the United States Army as a military police officer. Tom has been around horses all his life and once he and Tracey were married, they started their riding school. Tom was a member of the Stockton Police Department's mounted unit with his horse "Melvin". Tom was medically retired from police work in 2006. Tom and Tracey and their 3 sons moved to the beautiful Camas Prairie Idaho which is located about 40 minuted away from Sun Valley.
